We all need to charge our batteries from time to time and none more so than the new Electric Buses from The Big Lemon 🙂

We love public transport and use it regularly to commute to and from work and when we visit customers’ sites. Sometimes, we even use the bicycle to get to our destination.

Even though public transport is more environmentally friendly than cars, it still creates some pollution. In Brighton & Hove, where most of the buses pass through North Street and Western Road, the pollution level in the city centre is regularly higher than the legal limit. We want that changed!

Here at Sussex Backup we believe that local businesses should contribute to the local community. This is why we’ve decided to partner with The Big Lemon bus company, to support their innovative project to power their new electric buses using solar panels on their depot’s roof. These panels produce clean electricity, which in turn is stored in batteries for charging the buses overnight after they finished their day’s rounds.

Together we can make it easier to breath in Brighton & Hove with an advanced, cutting edge transport system owned by the community and who knows, you may find yourself catching a ride in one of those new buses very soon and enjoy an emission-free journey.
